Outstanding Engineer Award

The Outstanding Engineer award recognizes a practicing engineer who has made recent (last three to five years) outstanding contributions to the field of engineering. To be eligible, a candidate must:

1) hold a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in an engineering field or be a licensed professional engineer

2) be primarily employed as a practicing engineer (outstanding engineers primarily involved in education are not qualified for this award but may be qualified for a different award)

3) be a resident of San Diego County

4) agree to accept the award in person at the annual National Engineers Week Banquet (unless special exceptions are approved in advance which would provide for a representative to accept the award in person on behalf of the awardee).
